Moving Part II

On Thursday, we closed on the house and did the walk through. Everything looked great. Went to the bank and wrote our signature a gazillion times (although, not as much as adopting, must say!), and here we are, the owners of a beautiful *new* home.
Oh, side note...earlier in the week, friends of ours, Myron and Holly, came to pick up our horse, Crash. We had decided to give our horse and 4 larger dogs away. The market is down for both, and we'd rather just make sure they have wonderful, loving homes. Crash (what a name for a horse, huh?) is now Myron's horse, and already doing so well with them. We are excited for Crash and grateful to Myron and Holly for giving him a good home. They're excited, too. Love it.

So, we brought over just a few things Thursday, but not much. Had a few friends that were coming Friday. We got an early start. I had physical therapy and was gone until 10, but work was done in my absence! I was so amazed at what we got accomplished Friday. Thanks so much to everyone for your help! It was my goal to sleep in the new house Friday night, so the beds went first.

Dismantling Tye and Gabe's bunk bed...

Hardworking boys got in on the action! They don't have school on Fridays... Ah, yes, toiletries might be good today as well...
...uhm...yeah, food, too!

Frogs (or toads, what's the difference?!? I don't know). Just know they were found in a window well and they kids really had fun with them. Until...well...they left them in the sun and the poor little boogers, uhm...croaked. Don't tell PETA.
A couple days later they found some more and now have learned how to handle them so they stay alive. Although...did you know that a toad will hop down a slide and ride in a little toy John Deere wagon? ha! Who woulda thought we had to move to town to play with toads.

Already making friends with the neighbor kids! A little fun in our backyard.

My "perch" when my limp started getting worse, or better said, my lower leg started hurting more and my good friends directed me to SIT.

Seems if you stop by to say "hi," you get put to work! *smile*

Look at those muscles!
A good end to the day...
And yes, we slept in our made beds, in our new house Friday night. And everyone was so tired that all slept well. *smile*
