Then hubby comes home after checking the fields. "I thought you'd be out on the deck watching the fireworks," he says.
WHAT?! There were FIREWORKS? In MY town? And I MISSED them?!
I looooove me some fireworks. I vaguely remember something about it in the paper. Shoot.
Ah well, I consoled myself with the fact that we saw some really good fireworks on the 4th. See? I have a picture to prove it.
A very fun night with friends. Oh, wait? I didn't tell you about it? Well, better late than never.
Sierra and Svanna had a great time decorating the house for the fourth and our company, they even made this cute fruit kabob flag! (idea courtesy of Pinterest)
We enjoyed some yummy food...
(Shianne didn't want her picture taken so I assured her I'd put this on the blog. ha!)
...and then had a campfire. It was waaay too hot for a campfire, but we did it anyway. Brandy asked whose crazy idea was it to have a campfire in the heat (hey you married her, hubby-dearest!)
It's been so hot and dry here for so long, but I digress...
S'mores, yum!
We tried cooking popcorn over the campfire.
What the instructions say not to cook it over an open fire? What do they know?
On to fireworks in a neighboring town.
We're ready for some action!!
Oh, and this picture? Gabe's been begging me to put this one on the blog.
So here it is. LOL
Randomly...
Happy Summertime!

"Chickens lay and people lie." I heard that on Murder She Wrote years ago!
